England Named Wayne Rooney As The Player Of The Year 2014

Wayne Rooney has been voted England player of the year after topping a poll of Three Lions fans

England named Wayne Rooney as the Player of the year 2014 for the third time. The 29-year-old scored eight goals in 13 appearances and was named England captain following Steven Gerrard's retirement from international football.

Rooney took 27% of the votes from an online poll of supporters club members, more than second-placed Danny Welbeck and third 11% and third-placed Raheem Sterling 7% combined. 
Despite a disappointing World Cup, Rooney Rooney has enjoyed a host of personal accolades.

Manuel Neuer Named World's Best Goalkeeper Second Time In A Row.




International Football Federation of History and Statistics (IFFHS) has name Bayern and Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer as World's Best Goalkeeper for the second time in a row.
In 2014 Neuer conceded 40 goals in 62 games. He excelled with 216 points against his competitors Thibaut Courtois of Atlético Madrid and Chelsea on 96 points and Keylor Navas of Levante and Real Madrid on 46.

According to BBC Sport "Philipp is a player we've been tracking for some time and he will add to the competition for places," Stoke manager Mark Hughes said.
